I have used this as part of teaching computer programming to elementary children.

This is really a terrific app to create your own platform style video game. I volunteer in my 3rd and 1st graders classes teaching computer programming once a week and this is the kids favorite lesson I do. When we use this app I stress how drawing the symbols is the code, and if you dont draw the symbols correctly then it is a "syntax" error and the computer wont understand, as well as emphasizing game design and making things the game not too easy, and not too hard.

I have used their Adventure Time app as well, and for educational purposes, this one is superior.

Only complaints are that it is a bit sluggish on iPad minis and tends to crash. The ability to add custom artwork would be amazing.
